Document Pre-processing

Printed documents can have all kinds of interesting defects and challenges that affect alignment and OCR quality.

Torvacode software uses several techniques to deal with these issues before OCR is applied.

We deskew, clean and remove lines (original copies retain lines for archiving).  This produces better OCR accuracy.

Templates

For the highest level of accuracy for critical document types, we have developed a powerful template System allowing fast user verification of collected document data.  This is ideal when 100% OCR accuracy is needed.  Templates provide meta-data for your stored document images.  This allows us to create powerful search solutions.
